Importance of trees. 🌳🌱🌴

     Environment is the surrounding that we live in. Trees, animals and all of us belong to the environment. The place we are living is the environment. As the environment is very important thing there is a special day named “World Environment Day”, to celebrate it. 

In the environment, there are many trees. Trees are very important to our lives. We need oxygen to survive. That is given by trees. And also the food, medicine that are needed to us are given by trees. We need water for our daily activities. We take water from water sources such as rivers, reservoirs, waterfalls, wells etc. If there is no rainfall we cannot find water in those sources. Trees help us with this problem also. Trees can increase the rainfall. When there are many trees, the droughts will not occur. When there are trees, soil erosion can be prevented. As they have strong root systems they can prevent soil erosion. And also trees provide shade for us. We feel very calm and cold when we are sitting under a tree.  We can see that there are many benefits that we can gain from trees. 

But nowadays, most of the people do not Understand the value of trees. They destroy trees for various purposes. They should know that trees are very important to us. When people cut trees on mountain slopes, the slopes will come down as land slides. Then many disasters can happen to us. When people cut trees, the rainfall will decrease. As a result, droughts can occur. And also, we are losing pure oxygen for respiration. 

It is our duty to protect the eco system. Accordingly, we can understand that trees are very important and that there are many difficulties we have to face without the trees. 

If we all plant at least one tree, we will be able to see a green colour, beautiful world in future. So, it’s our duty to protect trees and also inform others about the importance of trees. Then the world will be a pleasant place to live.
